Strengthening the internationalization of students is an important way to train talents with an international perspective in the new situation, and it is also an inherent requirement of the "three comprehensive education" work.

In 2019, the School of Art revolved around the work ideas of “realizing thematic education, enriching project types, grasping pre-departure counselling, strengthening institutional guarantees, and strengthening typical publicity”, taking multiple measures simultaneously, and working in the same direction. The overseas study of college students has achieved obvious results  Effect.

As of now, the college has participated in 19 overseas study tours this year, and went to Britain, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Australia and other countries to participate in the "Provincial Government Scholarship Program", "Italian Summer Study Tour Program", and "Chiba University Service Design Course"  Projects "," Yonsei University Language Training Program "and other overseas study programs, the number of students participating in the study has increased by more than 30% compared with last year, and a strong overseas learning atmosphere is taking shape.

The college conducts the theme education of “Artistic Students Studying Abroad” through a combination of points and faces, and guides the majority of students to understand the importance of studying abroad.  On the one hand, it promotes various overseas learning programs, school incentive policies, and the experience and professional growth paths of students who have participated in overseas studies in recent years through class conferences, class meetings, and "lecture halls for academic guidance professors"; on the other hand, doing  Follow-up education after a good theme education, combined with academic planning and guidance, select students with good English scores and willingness to study abroad, and organize counselors and academic mentors to conduct "one-to-one" and "one-to-many" guidance.  Establish a database of students who intend to study abroad, and guide them to formulate overseas study plans based on their personal circumstances.

Based on the promotion of the school's overseas study programs, the School of Art combines its own professional characteristics and actively contacts external resources to introduce professional art and design study tours to help students broaden their professional horizons.

In 2019, the college actively connected with the China Education International Exchange Association's "Overseas Study Program for Art Students" and launched the summer study tour (1 month) of the National Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy, and the summer study tour (1 month, 3 months) of the Polimoda School of Fashion and Design.  Project, favored by students.  Among them, the Florence Academy of Fine Arts program has a total of 7 students participating in it, and the number of individual programs in the Institute of Creation is the highest.  In addition, the college is also actively expanding study programs such as animation design at the Kyoto University of Information Technology in Japan, language training at Yonsei University in Korea, and environmental design at the University of Idaho in the United States.

The college attaches great importance to the pre-departure counseling work of students participating in overseas study tours, actively organizes and develops pre-departure counseling meetings for overseas study tours, and invites leaders and teachers from the International Office, Overseas Study Service Center, College Student Quality Education Center and Project Center as students participating in overseas study tours  Conduct pre-departure counselling.  Emphasises on personal safety, foreign affairs discipline and political security, passport and property security, art expeditions, and itinerary planning, etc. The key points are emphasized, so that students pay attention to safety first, and do n’t take off when traveling.  Safe and smooth.  At the same time, the college requires each student participating in an overseas study tour to jointly sign the "Commitment Letter for Jiangsu University Students' Overseas Exchange and Study".

4.Strengthen institutional guarantees

This study has brought me a lot of brand-new experiences. In the cooperation with students from different majors and different countries, I also learned more about my strengths and weaknesses. Foreign students often have strong hands-on skills, and our domestic majors  Teaching is more oriented towards software technology. It is interesting that the teachers on both sides appreciate each other. Domestic teachers often talk to us about the importance of demos. Foreign teachers are surprised to see that we can master a lot of software.  This study also relieved my anxiety about my English ability to a certain extent. I was able to express my ideas through English, which also made me see the importance of mastering a foreign language for my future development.  At the same time, my short life in Japan has also opened up my horizons.
