On June 5th morning, the 2017th session of the undergraduates in School of Art opened grandly. Vice President Mr. Mei Qiang, Propaganda Department, the Office of Academic Affairs, school workers, School Communist Youth League and other departments were invited to participate in the opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof. Han Rong, the President, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Zhu Lixin made an opening speech. Graduation Design Instructor Representative Art Department, Prof. Liu Jianing and a student on behalf of the Department of Central Arts,Gong Ran addressed the speech respectively.
Vice President, Mei Qiang, on behalf of the school, expressed the gratitude to the teachers and students who prepared and organized the exhibition and expressed the congratulations to the students who participated in this exhibition. He said that creating a good work during the not only can make the students get the good training to improve their professional skills, but also can encourage students to establish academic self-confidence to lay a solid foundation for the future of art and work. At the same time, through the excellent works of the role model can also stimulate the enthusiasm of other students to learn. Graduation works exhibition is not only and a new starting point of students’ art life, but also is the life of the leap. He wants all the classmates not to forget the beginning of mind. Students should keep in mind, and strive to move forward, brave the new peak of art, look for their own art of the temple, find the achievements of bright and wonderful life dream.
This exhibition showed the graduation work from 275 undergraduates of 8 majors related to Art and Design in our School of Art in Jiangsu University. Each piece of work is hidden behind a sensitive art of the soul. Every heart expresses the creators themselves by those works. Students used the innovative artistic language to create a life from the spiritual experience and to explain the good perception and experience. Many students have created a certain personality and language style. The overall appearance of the works is diverse which reflect the modern factors of art, the coexistence of tradition and contemporary era. Those works also full demonstrated the fruitful achievements that our teachers and students inherited the culture and improved their knowledge of art.
More than 300 people, including whole leaders, the directors of all departments, graduation design instructors, all undergraduates and some non-graduating students attended the opening ceremony. (School of Art)
