On September 20th, the outstanding works of the 7th National Ocean Culture Creative Design Competition for National University Students was held in Fengxian District, Shanghai. The event was jointly organized by the National Oceanic Administration Propaganda and Education Center, Ocean University of China, and Beihai Branch of the State Oceanic Administration. The National Ocean University Cultural Innovation Competition was jointly organized by the School of Management of Ocean University of China and the People's Government of Fengxian District of Shanghai. The competition is the only charity competition in the world featuring marine culture. Their award-winning works have not only been exhibited in more than 70 colleges and universities nationwide, but also exhibited at the World Ocean Congress held in Washington, DC in June 2014, and have received enthusiastic responses at home and abroad.
The theme of this year's competition is “Transparent Ocean”, which can reflect the latest ideas of human understanding and exploration of the ocean. A total of 740 colleges and 98 high schools participated in the competition and collected a total of 35,866 works, covering the provinces, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as entries from the United States, Mexico, Japan and other countries. Among the award-winning works selected by the university group, the four students of our school, four teachers including Han Rong, Wang Liwen, Yang Liying and Dong Jiali, received 2 awards for excellence and 48 finalists. In addition, Jiangsu University was awarded the “Excellent Organization Award” at this event.
The results of our school in this competition are quite fruitful. This not only reflects the excellent teaching and guiding ability of the teachers of the art school of our school, but also reflects the professional strength and creativity of our students.
