On November 16, 2024, the 12th Future Design Education Forum and the Award Ceremony of the Future Designer · National Digital Art Design Competition for Colleges and Universities (NCDA) were held ceremoniously in Chongqing. Jointly organized by the Talent Exchange Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Chongqing Jiaotong University, and the Organizing Committee of the Future Designer Competition, this grand event brought together experts, scholars, university leaders, teachers, students, and industry elites from across the country to celebrate this occasion together. Teachers Meng Xiang and Li Sha, who are in charge of competitions at the Art School, attended this event.

In the 2024 season, the Future Designer NCDA was open to university students (graduates, undergraduates, and college students) and teachers. It featured 29 provincial competitions, with 1,891 universities participating. Among them, the participation rate of 985 Project universities and first-tier universities reached 95.3%, and 100% of universities with a design discipline rating of C or above participated. A total of 298,763 works were collected, involving over 1.2 million university students.

After more than five months of arduous preparation and intense competition in school, provincial, and national rounds, the Art School achieved excellent results in the national finals of this competition, winning 7 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 6 third prizes, and 1 excellence award. Teacher Meng Xiang, as a representative of the outstanding instructor, went up to receive the First Prize Excellent Instructor Award for the National Finals. At the same time, Teacher Meng Xiang, on behalf of the school, received the Outstanding Organization Award for the National Finals.

These achievements not only demonstrate the professional competence and innovative spirit of the teachers and students of the Art School but also reflect the school's profound heritage and teaching achievements in the field of art and design education. The Art School will continue to support teachers and students in participating in various competitions, pushing the school's teaching and research work to a new level.
